What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is the practice of Yoga applied to the healing process. The field of Yoga Therapy is growing rapidly in the United States. A Yoga Therapist works directly with patients to support their healing process.

What is Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy?
Ayurveda is the traditional Yoga Therapy system of India. While Ayurveda is a complete medical science, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy focuses on the practices of Yoga and how they participate in the healing process.

What is the difference between Ayurvedic and Western Yoga Therapy?
Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy focuses on the traditional knowledge of Ayurveda to determine how to properly apply the practices of Yoga to the healing process. Western Yoga Therapy follows a physical therapy type model and relies more on scientific investigation. At the CCA we honor and respect both systems but teach only Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy.

What types of students qualify to participate in the CCA, Ayurvedic Yoga Certification Course?
Only those students who are already certified Yoga Teachers, Ayurvedic students or Ayurvedic practitioners qualify to be certified. Students with less background may be allowed to participate in the course for personal growth and transformation but will not receive certification.
