Often the path to health and wellness seems daunting. If you were to look at a list of how many things you could do to improve our health and well-being, the thought of implementing all of them could make you sick! After all, how many things do you already know that would help you to feel healthier but you are not doing them? If your list is like mine, it’s pretty long and I’ve been implementing change in my life for the past 23 years!
Starting November 2013, a new group of AHP interns will begin offering consultations. The California College of Ayurveda offers consultations in Ayurveda Medicine with interns and graduate practitioners as well as panchakarma therapies including abhyanga, shirodhara and svedana.
May has waived good bye and we welcome June with great enthusiasm. Here in Nevada City, we are enjoying warm weather, beautiful flowers and lots of opportunities to enjoy the local hiking trails. The long days also mean lots of extra time for evening strolls through our historic downtown or beautiful old Victorian neighborhoods. I was recently interviewed on LA TalkLive and the host asked me why I chose to live in Nevada City.

An Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist is a specialist capable of utilizing yoga therapies to alter the physiology of the body in a manner that supports the healing process. As such, Ayurvedic Yoga Therapists are uniquely placed to participate as a health care team member as the work they do complements the work of all other therapists.
The California College of Ayurveda announces its international Ayurvedic training intensives offered in Nevada City, California.
Ayurveda is considered to be the medicinal side to Yoga. It literally means "the knowledge of life," as it teaches how to live harmoniously with our environment and our bodies. Like Yoga, Ayurveda is a holistic science that promotes well-being at the level of the body, mind and spirit.
The Ayurveda School offers various training programs in "the science of life". Enrollment is now open for 2013 educational programs offered throughout the world.
At the Ayurvedic Spa, the client receives stress relief therapies under the guidance of Panchakarma Practitioner and lifestyle recommendations and stress management techniques by a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist. The College is now accepting appointments for 2013 therapies.
The school announces its practitioner program (Level I) begining Fall 2013 (also available online in the Online Internet Program). The school continues to offers Ayurveda education in English via the Distance Learning program throughout the world.
