An Ayurvedic facial is a deeply nourishing, cleansing and calming practice which restores the balance of the doshas in facial skin.
During this 3 day hands-on program, students will learn the beautiful and relaxing art of providing an Ayurvedic facial.
Dough bastis are containers prepared from the flour of special black bean (urad dal) that holds warm herbal oil over certain parts of the body. They are often prepared to hold oil over the chakras, thyroid or adrenal gland or the eyes. The prepared oil then impacts the functions of the tissues, glands and chakras. In this 35 hour workshop, students will learn how to prepare the dough and will work in groups of two building the dams on each other.
Marma points are 107 energetic body points that allow access to the body, mind and consciousness. During this eight-day, 56 hour hands - on program, students will learn the history, classifications, theory and locations, and the effect of each point on the doshas and organs of the body. Following this you will learn how to interact with each marma point using massage, essential oil application and pranic healing (Ayurvedic energy work) to restore balance to the body and mind.
