This is a very high level foundational program in Ayurvedic Medicine providing students with a solid foundation from which to explore the deeper applications of Ayurveda. Students who complete this program may continue their studies to become an Ayurvedic practitioner or begin to integrate what they have learned into complementary modalities (including massage therapy and Yoga). Graduates of this program may also choose to conduct introductory Ayurvedic workshops. This program combines well with our Ayurvedic Massage course  and our Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy certification, providing a deeper foundation from which to practice.
This program is both theoretical and practical. Students will learn the principles of Ayurveda and apply them to their own lives. Living Ayurveda is the best way to learn Ayurveda. Students will also work on extensive cases studies to reinforce the learning process.
Students who complete the A.H.E. program (which is Level One of CCA's training program) will receive a certificate of completion.
The program includes: Ayurvedic lifestyle, philosophy, anatomy and physiology, pathology, diagnostics, psychology, nutrition, herbalism, sensory therapies. (for more information, request a catalog)
High school diploma or equivalent. Students of other recognized Ayurvedic programs in the United States may take a placement examination to determine their competency in Ayurvedic principles and practices. The fee for the placement exam is $500 and can be applied toward classes.
This program is offered at both of our locations: Grass Valley/Nevada City (Northern California) and Los Angeles Area (Southern California) and is also broadcast live over the internet for viewing anywhere in the world. This program may also be completed through distance learning.

Students who have completed this program are encouraged to continue with Level 2. Clinical Ayurvedic Theory
