The California College of Ayurvedai [1] Distance Learning Program is open to students world-wide. Students can complete the entire level one program and the academic portion of level two through distance learning. Distance Learning is available up to the beginning of internship, at which time, the student may choose a Field Internship program and receive certification as an Ayurvedic Practitioner. Please note that all Distance Learning students must participate in limited on-site classroom education at the College.
Live Internet Classes
The California College of Ayurveda broadcasts its full-time and weekend programs live over the internet using Vedaweb™ technology. International students may attend these classes however time zone differences can make attendance difficult. Vedaweb™ students must also attend a short intensive program in Nevada City, California at the end of the first two levels of the training program similar to distance learning students.
International students will need to attend limited on-site classroom education in Nevada City, California as follows:
Level 1 - Ayurvedic Health Educator (AHE):
Level 2 –Clinical Ayurvedic Theory:
Level 3 –Internships: Ayurvedic Health Practitioner (AHP) and Clicical Ayurvedic Specialist (CAS) certification:
• 2 day AHP Internship Prepration class. This is coordinated with the 4 day herbal medicines workshop.
• 3 day advanced pulse diagnosis class during the CAS internship six month later
• All other classes are broadcast live over the internet.
• Please note that the 5 day Level 2 intensive is timed to coincide with the 4 day Making Herbal Medicines class and the 2 day AHP Internship Preparation class. This means that students come to California for 2 weeks to complete all of these classes.
Because of the structure of the educational programs at the California College of Ayurveda, international students cannot receive a special student visa to stay in our country and study for an extended period of time. International students should apply for a regular tourist visa. Please note the California College of Ayurveda does not check the immigration status of our students. You will not be required to show a visa to attend classes.

Payments - All payments for the programs can be made by credit card or bank transfers. Please note that a $20 charge will be added for all bank transfers.
Language – All classes are taught in English. All textbooks are in English and all exams are giving in English. The College does not provide ESL training.
Transfers – It is possible for you to transfer to one of the College’s classroom programs at any time.
Communication with Master Teacher – Master Teachers who are assigned to international students all have the ability to communicate with the student using Skype or Windows Live Messenger.
