ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Here at the California College of Ayurveda, you can receive the most extensive training available in the field of Ayurveda in the United States.  Our main curriculum is divided into 3 levels.

Level I: Ayurvedic Health Education Certification:

This program includes training in all of the fundamental principals of Ayurvedic medicine. More info

Level II: Clinical Ayurvedic Theory:

This program takes level one training much deeper as you explore diseases associated with each of the systems of the body. Students study both the Ayurvedic and Western interpretations of disease. More info

Level III: Internships:

There are two internship programs. The first is a 6 month internship in preventative medicine leading to certification as an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner. The second is a 12 month internship (additional 6 months) in disease management leading to a certification as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist. More info

WORKSHOPS & INTENSIVES

In addition to our main curriculum, we offer a variety of seminars and workshops.

Ayurvedic Massage and Body Therapy:

This is hands on training taught in a 5 day intensive format. You will learn abhyanga (ayurvedic massage), shirodhara and svedana (herbal steam treatment). More info

Advanced Ayurvedic Body Therapies:

These are variety of techniques that include marma therapy, facials and dough dams. More info

Panchakarma Specialist:

This program is only open to students in level 2 or beyond of our training programs. Panchakarma is the purification practices associated with Ayurveda. More info

Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist:

Yoga and Ayurveda are integrally related. This certification program integrates the two sciences revealing how to utilize yoga in the healing process. This program is designed as advanced training for yoga teachers and ayurvedic practitioners. More info

Advanced Herbal Apprenticeship Program:

This program, offered as an elective class in Grass Valley only, teaches students how to take an herb from seed to medicine. More info
