There are many nice camping areas in Nevada County. Here are some suggestions:

Nevada County Fairgrounds- McCourtney Road, Grass Valley; 530-273-1146. From McKnight exit on Highway 49, follow fairgrounds signs. Features RV (no tent) campsites, water/power hook-ups, showers, and a dump station. Nearby pond. Nestled in tall pines, the fairgrounds provide a serene setting and encourage a safe camping experience. Cost $20.00-$25.00 per rig per night. About a 10 minute drive from the College.
