Classes & Curriculum
Students in the Ayurvedic Health Counselor program engage in a structured curriculum that blends classical Ayurvedic theory with practical application.
The curriculum is designed to build a strong foundation through step-by-step modules, ensuring students gain both academic knowledge and hands-on skills.
Modules
Module 1: Teaching Diet, Healthy Eating Guidelines, and Food Combining to Patients
Module 2: Ayurvedic Counseling Skills; observation of an intake appointment
Module 3: Practice Management: Writing a business and marketing plan
Module 4: Teaching Lifestyle and Sensory Therapies to Patients
Module 5: Case Presentations
Additional Requirements
Students will write a research paper in which they analyze themselves from an Ayurvedic perspective and make recommendations for how they can improve their health and well-being. This will be due prior to the final exam. Students have up to two years to continue with their education. After two years, students will need to take a placement examination to test their recall of the Ayurvedic principles learned in this course.
