Many types of seeds are planted and grown each year by our Herbal Apprentices. Over the course of the program, the students experience the plants’ life cycle from start to finish as they will eventually be harvesting many of the medicines they grew from seed.
We also plant flowers such as zinnia, cosmos, and marigolds along with the herbs as they are so helpful for attracting beneficial insects to the garden. A balanced ecosystem in the garden is just as important as it in our own bodies!
