Dear Practitioners, Students and Lovers of Ayurveda,
We’re pleased to announce that the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine’s online membership application is now available. We encourage you to join and support CAAM’s mission to “support, regulate and promote the education, research, practice and profession of Ayurveda, spread grassroots awareness, and help achieve legalization through state legislation in California.”
Until December 31st, 2013, we are offering a 1-year general membership reduced rate of $45 for all those who wish to join – practitioners, students, and community members. Your membership will help CAAM to achieve these goals and to support you in return.
CAAM’s work differs from the national Ayurveda organizations in that licensing ultimately will happen on the state level. Therefore, CAAM performs a vital function – creating a map that will lead the practice of Ayurvedic Medicine towards self-regulated state licensing to achieve greater professional status. The moment has arrived for all of us to take action to harness this incredible potential and commit our time, energy and resources to the promotion of Ayurveda. The more CAAM is nourished by the Ayurveda community, the greater our ability to achieve these objectives and embody the true spirit of CAAM’s mission.
Here are three important ways you can support CAAM:
1) Become a Member
To become a member complete the following online membership and payment form: CAAM Membership/Payment Form
Once you complete and submit the first page (membership form), you will be automatically directed to the payment page. You can also find this information on our website’s membership page. Once you’ve submitted both the membership form and payment, you will receive a confirmation email from us.
2) Volunteer on a Committee
As CAAM is a completely volunteer-run organization, your time and skills are CAAM’s most valued resource. To volunteer, check off the committee(s) of interest to you on the CAAM Membership/Payment Form
Committee descriptions can be found here. The average time commitment is 5-8 hours/month.
3) Spread the Word!
• Forward this information to your network of fellow practitioners and lovers of Ayurveda and encourage them to join!
