Pinda Swedana: The use of herbs and rice wrapped in cotton or gauze and then massaged into the body. This is a beautiful and important technique for massage and highly beneficial for the treatment of injuries to the spine, shoulder, neck and hips. Pinda Swedana is an injury specific treatment making it different from general abhyanga.
Dr. Liladhara Gupta is on the advisory board of the California College of Ayurveda. He resides in Vrindaban, India where his family has served as Ayurvedic physicians for many generations. He operates Dhanvantari Dham, a residential Panchakarma hospital, pharmacy and herb garden serving the local community and International guests.
