Dr. Mahadevan Seetharaman is a Duke Integrative Healthcare Leader and a Professor at the Hindu University of America (HUA). He is the founder of Ayurveda Living, a platform dedicated to sharing up-to-date information on Ayurveda and Yoga, including wellness insights, directories, research, and reviews.
A cross-functional global leader in healthcare and technology, Dr. Mahadevan serves on the boards of several leading Ayurveda organizations and co-founded the Texas Ayurveda Professionals Association (TAPAS). As a certified Ayurveda Diet & Nutrition Consultant and Yoga Teacher, he is deeply committed to reviving and globalizing traditional Bharatiya health sciences.
Previously, he was the CEO and Managing Director of the Institute of Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine (I-AIM), one of India’s largest integrative research university hospitals, where he also served as Professor and Dean at the School of Health Sciences. He later played a key role in establishing an integrative healthcare center as the COO of Isha Arogya Research Foundation.
Holding a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, he completed his post-doctoral research at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner Research Foundation. Dr. Mahadevan also contributed as co-guest editor for the MDPI journal Medicina’s special issue titled “The Future of Medicine: Frontiers in Integrative Health and Medicine.”
Dr. Mahadevan succeeds CCA’s founder, Dr. Marc Halpern, who led the institution for nearly three decades with visionary dedication. As Dean, Dr. Mahadevan is now fully responsible for the strategic, academic, and operational leadership of CCA, working closely with faculty, staff, students, and the global Ayurveda community to ensure continued excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
