Sandra is a Faculty Instructor and Intern Supervisor at the California College of Ayurveda where she teaches Ayurvedic Nutrition, Herbalism, Chronic Diseases of the Endocrine, Musculoskeletal and Immune System, Cardiology and Diseases & Treatment of the Ears, Eyes, Nose and Throat as well as specialty classes. She also supervises interns in the Medical Ayurvedic Specialist Program. Ms. Gutiérrez completed her studies in Ayurvedic Medicine at the California College of Ayurveda, received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of California at Davis and is a 500-Hour Certified Yoga Instructor. Ms. Gutiérrez inspires and empowers her students to become effective Ayurvedic educators and practitioners by offering a clear understanding of the practical use of Ayurvedic principles to maintain health, prevent and treat disease. Ms. Gutiérrez’s other interests include backpacking, dancing, cooking healthy meals, and making her own floral sun oils as a hobby.
