One of Ayurveda’s most nourishing and rejuvenative external therapies, Pinda Svedana is an ancient massage technique in which hot boluses (cotton pouches) containing various types of fresh plants, rice and other herbal and oil ingredients are gently applied to the body.
The heat of the mixture causes a deep perspiration (svedana), which cleanses the body of unwanted toxins, while the herbal medicines within the boluses produce deep relaxation, relieve pain and stiffness, improve tissue strength and circulation, and much more.
This workshop is an amazing hands-on experience in which you will have the opportunity to create the boluses and then utilize them in massage. You are taught specific massage techniques and will get to both give and receive this amazing therapy. Discussion, guided movement, and meditation are integrated into the workshop, creating a peaceful, healing 3-day experience for the participants.
A beautiful therapy for working with others!
