Classical Yoga Therapy

Classical Yoga Therapy emphasizes the deepest knowledge of Yoga as it applies to healing body, mind, and consciousness. This workshop is ideal for counselors of any tradition to add Yoga Therapy into their counseling practices.

Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy

Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy emphasizes learning how to teach dosha specific asana classes. Students who attend part two must also complete three dosha specific yoga classes in their own communities or three private teaching sessions to receive their certificate.  This workshop is ideal for Yoga Teachers who have a background in Ayurveda.

What You’ll Learn

What We’ll Cook (and Eat!)

  • Each session includes a guided cooking experience (three recipes) plus a seasonal beverage ritual.
  • You’ll begin with a Vata-soothing digestive tea made with warming, calming herbs and spices
  • Then you’ll cook and enjoy a seasonal meal together, with a discussion about taste, texture, and how your body responds to warming foods

Travel & Location

Travel Planning

Students traveling by air should plan accordingly when booking return flights. Sacramento International Airport is approximately 90 minutes from the CCA campus by car. We recommend allowing sufficient travel time to reach the airport and arrive at least 90 minutes before your scheduled departure. To ensure the integrity of the educational experience and respect for faculty and fellow students, classes must be attended in full. Students should not schedule flights that require leaving class early.
