Admissions Prerequisites and Other Program Requirements
Prior to entering our Ayurvedic Health Counselor program, students are required to have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Students who want certification as an Ayurvedic Health Counselor after AHCi, or want to enroll in the Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist must have completed a college-level anatomy and physiology course. Beginning in January 2021, only students who have completed at least 6 credits in the basic sciences (must include at least 6 credits in either anatomy or physiology) will be considered for the Medical Ayurvedic Specialist program.
CCA accepts credits from community colleges, city and state colleges. Online courses through accredited colleges will also be accepted. Other online courses will be considered if the student sends in a copy of their transcript and course description with their application. However, there is no guarantee that non-accredited courses will be accepted.
Please check with the Admissions Department to see if a class will meet our requirement.
Students should submit a copy of their transcript or similar documentation to the College. This requirement is waived for licensed health care practitioners (M.D., D.C., N.D., L.Ac., R.N.), upon documentation of the license. If you have not completed a college level anatomy and physiology course, please contact the College to learn the options that are available to you.
