Ayurvedic Education & Clinical Internships
The Importance of Marma
Full-Time Program

Our full-time program offers classes which are attended either in the classroom at our Nevada City campus, or Live Online through our online classes. Students are in class nine hours per week. Due to the extensive amount of class work (studying, assignments, etc.) outside of the regular class hours, this program is ideal for students who do not work full time while attending school. Students who work full time should consider our weekend or distance learning programs.

Full-Time Format:

The Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program takes approximately 1 year to complete.
The Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist Program takes approximately 2.5 years to complete.
The Medical Ayurvedic Specialist Certificate Program takes approximately 4 years to complete.

Note that class completion times may vary depending upon the class schedule and whether or not a student chooses to take breaks between classes.

Weekend Program

Our weekend program offers a slower pace that allows students a greater opportunity to work while going to school. Classes meet one weekend per month. Classes can be attended live online through our modern online classrooms. Students are in class 16 hours per weekend. Students who are in the weekend program are better suited to work full-time while going to school.

Weekend and Distance Learning Format:

The Principles of Ayurvedic Medicine Program takes approximately 12 months to complete.
The Ayurvedic Health Counselor Program takes approximately 1.5 year to complete.
The Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist Program takes approximately 3.5 years to complete.
The Medical Ayurvedic Specialist Certificate Program takes approximately 5 years to complete.

Note that class completion times may vary depending upon the class schedule as well as whether or not a student chooses to take breaks between courses.

Hybrid Study Option

Students may attend weekend and full-time classes live online from the comfort of their own home. Online students are held accountable to the same attendance and performance standards as on campus students. Modern internet technology allows students with high-speed internet access to view the teacher, the class presentation, our learning management system and allows for two way (audio and video) communication as if the student is in the classroom. Students must have high-speed internet access, a headset, and a webcam. Additional technology requirements can be found in the technology disclosure within the enrollment documents.

Students must be able to create a quiet space for study and not be distracted by external events and have their webcam on during class. We require that all students take our free training in how to use this technology.

Also, note that all regular classes are recorded and this may include the thumbnail images of the participants.

Internships (On-site and off-site)

All education formats eventually lead to internship. Students in each of our Internship Programs may either perform their internship in the college’s professional community clinic or within their own communities. Students who perform off-site internships are supervised at a distance by one of our Intern Supervisors.
