The Foundation of Ayurvedic Daily Living

Dinacharya introduces the foundational principles of Ayurveda through the lens of daily living. Students learn how to build a sustainable diet and lifestyle that supports balance, prevents disease, and promotes long-term health.

Through the five senses — food, sound, touch, sight, and smell — students learn how everyday choices shape physical, mental, and emotional well-being. As CCA founder Dr. Marc Halpern teaches, health follows harmony, and disease follows disharmony; this course provides both the framework and the practical tools to begin transforming daily life accordingly.

Dinacharya is CCA’s most accessible entry point into the study of Ayurveda, and a gateway into the College’s more advanced certification programs.

Curriculum Includes

  • Module 1: Understanding the Root of Imbalance & Your Unique Constitution: the five elements and three doshas, and how they shape body, mind, and health
  • Module 2: The Mind, Self-Observation & Patterns of Imbalance: recognizing symptoms as signals rather than problems
  • Module 3: Food as Medicine: Healing Through Diet: how digestion, not just food choice, determines health
  • Module 4: Daily Rhythm & the Healing Power of Touch: how routine and intentional touch nourish the body and calm the mind
  • Module 5: Sensory Balance: Aromatherapy & Visual Environment: designing a sensory environment through smell and sight
  • Module 6: Healing Through Sound: choosing music, language, and environment that support the nervous system
