Dive into one of the most important classical textbooks used in Ayurveda
Open to Students/Graduates From All Schools
Date & Time
September 1, 2021 - October 19, 2021
Ashtanga Hridayam is one of the most important classical textbooks used in Ayurveda. Many consider it more important to modern-day Ayurveda than Caraka Samhita. The important chapters from the Sutrasthana (first section) of Ashtanga Hridayam will be explored to provide a good foundation for traditional ayurvedic knowledge. You will gain an understanding of the meaning of Ayurvedic Principles embedded within the Sutras. This learning will become a strong pillar in your Ayurvedic Journey.
Manju Kolli – Manju is an Ayurvedic practitioner based out of San Francisco where she is the founding director of Ayurhitam, an Ayurvedic wellness clinic. Manju also has over 15 years of experience serving as a Western clinical pharmacist at an esteemed long-term care pharmacy. She is a trainer and teacher with international experience in Ayurveda and has held multiple seminars, workshops, and classes. Her area of expertise is women and children’s health, gut problems, skin conditions, mental health, and allergies. Manju spent several years understanding the in-depth meaning of Sanskrit verses from Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, and Ashtanga Hridayam and looks forward to sharing this knowledge with students and practitioners of Ayurvedic science.
