Course Overview

Ashtanga Hridayam is one of the most important classical textbooks used in Ayurveda. Many consider it more important to modern day Ayurveda than Caraka Samhita. The important chapters from the Sutrasthana (first section) of Ashtanga Hridayam will be explored to provide a good foundation towards traditional ayurvedic knowledge. You will gain and understanding of the meaning of Ayurvedic Principles embedded within the Sutras. This learning will become a strong pillar in your Ayurvedic Journey.

Instructor

Manju Kolli – Manju is an Ayurvedic practitioner based out of San Francisco where she is the founding director of Ayurhitam, an Ayurvedic wellness clinic. Manju also has over 15 years of experience serving as a Western clinical pharmacist at an esteemed long term care pharmacy. She is a trainer and teacher with international experience in Ayurveda and has held multiple seminars, workshops and classes. Her area of expertise is Women and children’s health, gut problems, skin conditions, mental health and allergies. Manju spent several years understanding the in-depth meaning of Sanskrit verses from Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Ashtanga Hridayam and looks forward to sharing this knowledge with students and practitioners of Ayurvedic science.

Refund Policy

The deposit for workshops & short courses is non-refundable. The Final Balance is due 14 days before the class start date. A student may choose to transfer his/her registration to another class for a fee of $150.00 if done prior to the final balance due date. The ONLY exception to this rule is a documented medical condition. Rarely, for reasons beyond CCA’s control, a short course must be cancelled. If you are registered for a short course that the College cancels, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid. While all efforts will be made to avoid cancellations, the College will accept no liability for student losses that occur beyond deposit or tuition actually paid to the College (e.g., non-refundable airfare, time lost from work, equipment expenses).
