Medical Ayurvedic Specialists have the greatest understanding of Ayurveda and have a deeper background in understanding Western medical information. They are able to interact with your medical team while also providing you with the highest quality of care for your specific condition. Medical Ayurvedic Specialists teach you how to integrate Ayurvedic tools with western medicine to achieve optimal results.
Dr. Brenda Krulikowski, Ay.D. (MAS), P.K.S., Director of Herbalism at the California College of Ayurveda where she teaches Advanced Pathology, Advanced Herbalism, Women’s Health 1 & 2, the Herbal Apprenticeship program along with Case Study classes in the CASi course. Dr. Krulikowski also holds a Panchakarma Specialist certification and has received extensive education in India. Dr. Krulikowski has applied her knowledge not only to her students and patient care but to grow the herb department at the California College of Ayurveda. As the director of the herb department, she continues to find ways to source exceptional quality herbs and advance making herbal medicine.
Dr. Laksmana Das, Ay.D. (MAS) is a graduate of the California College of Ayurveda and a member of our faculty. He also serves as our new-faculty mentor. Dr. Laksmana is also a panchakarma specialist and certified yoga teacher. He has completed post-graduate programs at Greens Ayur Hospital in Kerala, India, and additional studies with, Dr. David Frawley and Yogini Shambhavi. Dr. Laksmana enjoys art, is a watercolorist, and does gardening daily.
Dr. Balbir (Bobby) Takhar, Ay.D. (MAS) is a graduate of the California College of Ayurveda and a member of our faculty. She was born in India, raised in England, and settled in the States in her early twenties. Bobby practices selfless service by offering retreats for women and feeding the homeless. She is also a certified Kundalini yoga teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
